The Tutt Case: THSC Intervenes on Behalf of Family Unfairly Accused by Child Protective Services
A three-and-a-half-year court battle to restore the Tutt Family in Dallas County—sad ending. This home school family was unnecessarily traumatized after Child Protective Services removed their seven children from the home without cause, accusing them of having no “state approved” home school curriculum. THSC fought this injustice alongside the Tutts, then fought it in the legislature. Laws passed in 2017 will ensure no CPS case will go that long again.
