Jeremy Newman and Paul Hastings Testify in Support of Tim Tebow Bill

On April 6, 2017, THSC Public Policy Director, Jeremy Newman and home school graduate Paul Hastings both testified in favor of Senate Bill 640, known as the Tim Tebow Bill. If this bill passed, it would expand home school freedom by allowing home school students to participate in UIL sanctioned extracurricular activities. 16 home school students and parents came to testify in favor of the bill. Expanding home school freedom and parental choice is a vital part of Keeping Texas Families Free.

Tim Lambert Educational Savings Account Testimony

On March 21, 2017, Tim Lambert and THSC testified in favor of Senate Bill 3. If this bill passed, it would establish Educational Savings Accounts in the state of Texas.

THSC completely supports this opt-in school choice option for parents. After having a scientific poll of Texas home school parents conducted, THSC learned that 71% of home school parents polled across the state support the proposed legislation.
