ABC Animal Art, Alphabet Unit Study .wmv
After reading nearly 100 alphabet books for our unit study, we found many to be inspiring. Our oldest student chose her own theme, researched animals, and drew an animal for every letter of the alphabet (Even the "X" dog that rendered her almost speechless). It's exciting how much "older" kids can learn from something as seeminly simple as an ABC book--many are truely hidden treasures. She recorded the voice track at Illinois Audio Productions.

ABC books with alphabet song for unit study.wmv
Students read almost 100 alphabet books, then selected a theme and wrote their own versions. We found an amazing variety of ABC books on a myriad of subjects. It's impressive what students can learn during an alphabet unit study. Our youngest student sang the alphabet song at the studios of Illinois Audio Productions--three renditions are shared in this slide show.
